Sedan ordering

hello all,
I just registered and have been waiting to order the awesome new ATS-V. I was going for a BMW "6" series but the caddie is more in line with my C7. It will be like having GM cousins. I read here someone has placed an order already. Is it possible to go to any Cadillac dealer and place an order? GM has not made a " build your own" web page yet.
In 2013 all you could do was give a deposit on a Stingray but it wasn't an order until about the same time as the web page let you build it. Then you would get the dealer submit an order and then you would get a "order number. With that one could track where it was in process.
Is there an actual production start date? I did not see a code from the other thread for manual or auto trans. I wonder which will be the up charge. With my C5 I paid $1500 for stick and now the C7 you pay extra for the auto.
Thanks and I'm glad this Forum was started as we can help each other with info on this great new vehicle.

I am sure they will start production early April. They have plenty of orders placed but none have a TPW yet. Dont order the Vector Blue or yo wont see that thing for a long time!
Just stopped at the Cadillac dealer to inquire about the ATS-V.
Not a first good impression..
First salesperson did not know anything about the car.
Next sales manager said that he is taking deposits on the car.
He did not know the price or production date.
I asked him when he expects first cars in, as I would like a test drive one before buying.
He said that because car will be a limited addition there will be no cars available to test.
He also said that the dealer policy is not to give a test drives on such an expensive cars as after no customer would buy one with additional millage.
To that I told him that I would never buy a car without first buying one especially expensive one as ATS-V.
Than I walked out of the dealer.
I was not impressed with the attitude of the sales manager and I will be checking other dealers in Montreal area.
Sorry to hear that! I do however understand not letting people test drive these cars, as everyone would love a quick "Joyride". I hope you went to a standalone Cadillac dealer and not one sharing a lot with GMC or Chevrolet??
Unfortunately here in Montreal we don't have a dealer that only sells Cadillacs.
I told the sales manager that i'm a serious buyer and that I presently own CTS-V.
He gave me an impression that he simply didn't care.
May be that is why the sales of CTS and ATS cars are down.
I would just go somewhere else. I have got one ordered for myself and I still have no idea when they are going to build it!! I work for Cadillac and I still dont know. They said the plant startup daye was June 1st, but my order has not moved through at all.
